The decision most BESS makers get wrong

A storage pack must last 20 years. An EV line was not built for that.

Prismatic battery packs on an automated energy storage assembly line

Right chemistry

Built for prismatic LFP, not pouch NMC. No failures surfacing in year three.

Right quality gates

Cooling plate, leak test and weld checks run in-line, not after.

Compliance from pack one

IEC 62619, ALMM and UN 38.3 built into the line. Your PLI claim depends on it.

What the line covers

Six stages. Two halls. One contract.

Hall A: Pack Assembly

  1. Cell receiving & grading
  2. Module assembly
  3. Pack & rack integration

Hall B: Container Assembly

  1. Container integration
  2. EOL testing
  3. Dispatch

Most vendors deliver one hall. Novus delivers both. Scales from 50 MWh to 500+ MWh per year.

BESS FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

01.Where can I meet Novus BESS engineers at REI Expo 2026?

Novus Hi-Tech's BESS team is at Hall 16, Booth A01, REI Expo 2026, India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, from 22 to 24 October 2026. Engineers discuss cell-to-container line design, throughput and PLI documentation. Book a slot through the form on this page to meet a BESS line specialist.

02.How is a BESS line different from an EV battery line?

A BESS pack must last 15 to 20 years and thousands of cycles. EV lines tolerate weld, BMS and thermal variation that can cause grid storage failures after year three. A BESS line needs prismatic LFP setup, in-line cooling and leak testing, and IEC 62619, ALMM and UN 38.3 compliance from pack one.

03.What throughput does a 12 PPM BESS line deliver?

The Novus 12 PPM reference line delivers 4.2 GWh per year using 314 Ah prismatic LFP cells, three shifts and 300 working days. Targets are first pass yield of 98% or more, final yield of 99.5% or more and uptime of 98% or more. Configurations scale from 50 MWh to 500+ MWh per year.
